My husband throws up all the time?

This started like a year ago. He was laid up on the couch in fetal position for 2 days. I finally got him to let me take him to the er and they said he had diverticleitis, well its gotten alot worse. He throws up 7 to 9 times a week. He went to the gastrointologist and he said it could be crohns disease or cancer. They are doing a colonoscopy and putting a camera down his throat. He has horrible pain in his stomach all the time and it varies in what area. Anybody have experience?
