and Genital ???

My friend and her boyfriend both have simplex 2 (genital) and recently she asked me if I think she's crazy to perform oral . Aside from them being in a loving, monogamous relationship, the real question came down to, is it safe? I wasn't quite sure how to answer except to suggest washing with antibacterial soap and rinsing with antiseptic mouthwash directly after... was this a stupid suggestion, or would that work?
