How to make pumpkin pie out of the pumpkin we carved?

we carved the pumpkin cooked the seeds and then got rid of the guts but scd the sides if the pumpkin and it filled up a zip lock gallon bag how do I make a pumpkin pie from it? just blend it into a puree?
