Anybody know where to get anhydrous ACETONE? Not ammonia...I made a mistake there?
Sorry guys, I just asked several questions looking for anhydrous ammonia, and what I MEANT to say is anhydrous ACETONE! As it turns out, anhydrous ammonia is used in meth production and is tightly controlled. But no, I need acetone, not ammonia. I'm looking for a retailer in the Portland, Oregon area because even though I know you can buy it online, I do now want to wait, and I don't want to pay shipping, so I want to just be able to go pick it up. Not the dilute stuff you can buy at beauty supply places, but like 99.9 percent pure anhydrous acetone. I am a hobby orchid grower and I sometimes make my own crosses, and the seeds must be sown on an artificial jelly-like medium in sterile flasks, and I find that anhydrous acetone is the best thing to clean the flasks with to reuse them. Anybody know of a place in Portland that carries this? That one isn't regulated is it? I don't see why it would be.
